When you use Gharflix, we collect: • **Account information**: name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register. • **Listing data**: property details, photos, videos, and location information you submit. • **Usage data**: pages visited, searches performed, properties saved, and device information. • **Communication data**: messages and inquiries exchanged through the platform. • **Payment data**: transaction records (we do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by Razorpay).

We use your data to: • Operate and improve the Gharflix platform. • Match buyers and renters with relevant properties. • Send you notifications about saved searches and new listings. • Verify seller identities and prevent fraud. • Comply with legal obligations under Indian law (IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023).

We share your information only as follows: • **With buyers/sellers**: your name and contact details are shared when you initiate an inquiry or a buyer contacts you. • **Service providers**: cloud hosting (Supabase), payment processing (Razorpay), analytics — bound by confidentiality agreements. • **Legal requirements**: if required by court order, government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of users. We never sell your personal data to third-party advertisers.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Property listing data may be retained in anonymised form for analytics purposes.

Gharflix uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your data. • Withdraw consent at any time. • File a grievance with our Data Protection Officer. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to our platform.

Gharflix is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 15 days before the changes take effect.
